Goatberry Compost (1gallon bag)
To Get Started you will need the following supplies:
One or Two - 5 gallon buckets
1 gallon mature Goatberry Compost
5 gallons of water
Un-sulfured molasses (optional)
Add the water, filling the bucket to within 6 inches of the top. (If you are using water from a public water source, let the water set overnight before adding the water to the compost. This allows any chlorine to evaporate. Chlorine can kill beneficial organisms in the tea.)
Add the package of Goatberry Compost mixture to the water and set in the sun to brew. The Compost Tea will be ready to use in 24 hours better after 48 hours. Stir the brew occasionally to help mix the compost and separate the microorganisms from the solid compost particles and add oxygen to the mixture
Optional: Add 1 once of un-sulfured molasses to provide a food source for the beneficial microorganisms.
Stir the brew occasionally to help mix the compost & separate the microorganisms from the solid compost particles
After brewing the mixture, you
may strain the mixture which is why you need
the second bucket or you can apply
the tea
to your plants
and
soil as is… If you decide to
strain the tea
use cheesecloth to strain the mixture into
the other bucket. (You can put the compost solids back into the
compost pile or in the garden.) Apply the compost tea to your flower and
vegetable plants immediately.
You can sprinkle the compost tea onto the foliage and the soil around each plant. The tea will provide nutrients and an energy boost to your garden plants. You can apply compost tea every two weeks to your garden.
Our Compost mixture is 100% organic, made from goat manure, allowed to compost naturally in a controlled environment, heating to a natural internal temperature for killing viable seed yet retaining all the nutrients required for vibrant plants, and soil replenishment.
